Henrico judges lauded for drug court work

Henrico Circuit Judges Gary A. Hicks and Catherine C. Hammond have received the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency Bronze Key Award in recognition of their work with the Henrico County Drug Court.
The court focuses on nonviolent adult probation violators with a history of substance abuse. An offender’s prison sentence is suspended on condition that he or she completes the court’s 12 to 18-month program and meets its behavioral requirements.
